GX Superyachts 42 RPH Hull #2 marks a dynamic leap in yacht design, blending innovative hybrid propulsion with exquisite craftsmanship. Developed by the experts at Greenline Yachts, known for over 1,000 hybrid vessels, this 42.1-meter yacht is set for delivery in late 2027, offering a zero-emission, transatlantic-capable experience in the 40-meter class.
At the heart of this yacht is a state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion system, enabling silent cruising at 6 knots for up to 100 nautical miles on electric power alone. For longer journeys, it effortlessly shifts to diesel propulsion, achieving transatlantic range at 12 knots and a top speed of 15 knots. Integrated solar panels provide up to 27kW on this Raised Pilothouse (RPH) model, charging a high-capacity lithium battery system that allows for silent, fossil fuel-free anchoring for up to 48 hours. This innovative setup delivers a 55% energy saving and a 40% reduction in emissions compared to traditional yachts.
Designed by naval architect Francesco Rogantin, her hull features a smart displacement form for optimal hydrodynamic efficiency and long-range performance. The RPH model boasts an increased gross tonnage of 353GT, offering spacious interiors while maintaining sleek exterior lines crafted by Marco Casali of Too Design. The expansive flybridge is elegantly styled, contrasting with the GX42 Coupe’s sculpted superstructure and retractable solar-paneled roof. The result is a yacht that harmonizes visual appeal with exceptional performance and eco-friendly cruising.
The interior, designed by Casali, epitomizes intelligent luxury, with seamless transitions from the main saloon to the upper decks, featuring top-tier materials like Antonio Lupi porcelain, Dornbracht fixtures, Foglizzo leathers, Cadorin natural wood flooring, and furnishings by Poltrona Frau and Rugiano. Every detail is chosen for comfort and sustainability. Accommodations for 10 guests in five spacious cabins are complemented by a dedicated crew of eight for smooth operation, and the layout is fully customizable to meet owners’ desires. A stunning seawater pool adds to the alfresco enjoyment.
