The oh so impressive SYL, a 44-meter luxury sailing yacht created by Barcos Deportivos Sl in 2003. This majestic vessel, also known as ex Bd-002, offers lavish accommodations for up to 8 passengers and is manned by an attentive crew of 8. The interior design, crafted by Victor Tebar, reflects the opulence befitting the discerning owner who originally commissioned this remarkable yacht.
Sadly now in the hands of the high courts of Spain, an imminent solution is expected in early 2024 to enable the heirs to finally dispose of her either directly to a potential buyer or, via court auction, as has yet to be decided.
The S/Y SYL has had a caretaking crew onboard for the duration and, is kept in class in “laid up” mode with annual inspections by Lloyds. Her main engine appears to be fully functional but, will require a full service or perhaps overhaul before being allowed to be fired up.
The yacht will require a very thorough refit and we are able to provide full details and approximate expected pricing for the works.
There do not appear to be any major structural issues with the yacht and the plate thickness of the hull is know to be in order following various hull soundings carried out over the years.
