2013/2022 Oyster Yachts 88ft – KARIBU
KARIBU is an 88-foot Oyster 885, built for bluewater sailing and designed by Rob Humphreys. Delivered in 2013 as the second hull in Oyster’s flagship range, she blends robust offshore capability with a fresh, contemporary style and a layout tailored for both private cruising and charter.
A major refit in 2022—costing over €2 million—modernized every aspect of KARIBU. Highlights include a new Future Fibres EC6 carbon rig, a striking Teale Blue hull, upgraded IT and AV systems, new upholstery, and a brand-new 4.35m Williams jet tender. The result: a yacht that feels up-to-date, mechanically sound, and absolutely ready for adventure.
KARIBU sleeps eight guests across four cabins, including a full-beam master suite aft with Oyster’s signature triple Seascape vertical windows for panoramic sea views. Two double cabins and one twin complete the guest accommodation, while the crew quarters forward can be configured to suit your needs.
On deck, enjoy generous spaces designed for both action and relaxation. The split cockpit keeps sailing operations separate from the guest lounge and dining area. The foredeck features a recessed well for the main tender that converts into a sunken lounge with plush cushions and a sun pad. A large hydraulic swim platform at the stern offers effortless access to the sea.
Inside, the raised main saloon is flooded with natural light from wraparound windows. A U-shaped sofa and versatile, rise-and-fall coffee tables transform the space from casual lounge to dining area in moments. The 2022 refit brought in custom timber furniture, a new bar with a wine fridge and ice maker, and a full interior redesign by UK-based Design Unlimited, creating a vibrant, inviting atmosphere.
KARIBU is commercially compliant under MCA Cat 2 and boasts a successful charter record in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Immaculate and ready for global cruising, she stands out for her performance, finish, and turn-key condition.
