Three years ago, Luca Santella sparked the vision for the Bluegame range to include a multihull yacht—the first from the Sanlorenzo Group. True to the brand’s spirit, this vessel was far from conventional. The design and development of the BGM75 required more time and resources than a traditional yacht. For the first time, a full-scale prototype of the hull was constructed and underwent extensive testing for over eight months. This rigorous process aimed to validate research and analysis, ensuring unmatched sailing comfort.
The BGM75 redefines the catamaran experience with its innovative reduced length-to-width ratio. This design brings the hulls closer together, enabling a seamless lower deck and a spacious full-beam owner’s cabin—a first for twin-hulled boats.
Thanks to its multihull foundation, the BGM75 boasts enhanced stability and impressively lower fuel consumption. This commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with the goals of the Sanlorenzo Group.
Designed by Philippe Briand, a leading name in high-performance hull design and an expert behind many America’s Cup vessels, the BGM75’s ultra-efficient hull exemplifies cutting-edge engineering.
To illustrate its fuel efficiency, consider this: the BGM75, powered by twin Volvo 600h engines, shows a fuel consumption reduction of 220 liters per hour compared to a 90-foot displacement vessel equipped with twin MTU 1200 engines over 300 hours—translating to a staggering 175 tonnes of CO2 savings and 66,000 liters less fuel used.
However, witnessing the BGM75 in person at the Cannes Boat Show on the Bluegame quay is where technical specifications give way to pure admiration. This luxurious motor yacht beautifully embodies the essence of Bluegame and Sanlorenzo, showcasing a design that just happens to feature two hulls instead of one.
The vision for the BGM75 was brought to life by experts like Bernardo Zuccon and Piero Lissoni, who contributed their foresight to create striking external lines and maximized internal spaces, skillfully merging the two hulls while pushing design boundaries.
