SANLORENZO STEEL 50
Almax: The Green Revolution in Superyachting
Almax is the world’s first superyacht to feature a green methanol fuel cell system, developed by the shipyard in collaboration with Siemens Energy.
As part of the Sanlorenzo 50Steel series, Almax showcases the finest Italian craftsmanship and design. Her exterior, by Zuccon International Project, and luxurious interiors from Lissoni & Partners, set new standards in yachting.
Innovative Design
Almax’s stylish and functional exterior features sleek lines, expansive windows, and a modern silhouette. Her five tiered off-set decks unify interior and exterior spaces, minimizing partitions.
Guests are welcomed by the impressive Ocean Lounge, which transforms into a 135-square-metre beach deck when at anchor. Ascend five steps from the Ocean Lounge to the main deck, where a vast main saloon awaits, ideal for relaxation or entertaining.
Architectural Marvels
A stunning glass-sided staircase filters natural light throughout the yacht, connecting all areas—from the lower deck’s gym and spa to the upper deck’s second saloon.
The main saloon leads to a unique mezzanine middle deck housing the formal dining area and master stateroom. The master suite boasts a private office, ensuite, and two dressing rooms, offering ultimate privacy and comfort. Japanese-style screens, dark wood walls, and unique wallpaper create a serene yet sophisticated atmosphere.
Outdoor Excellence
The upper deck, accessed via an internal staircase, includes the yacht’s wheelhouse, an alfresco dining area, and a lounge with glass windbreak panels for cooler climates.
Green Propulsion
Almax is fitted with a green methanol Reformer Fuel Cell system, producing up to 100 kW of energy with propulsion engines and diesel generators turned off. This carbon-neutral system extends the yacht’s time at anchor without diesel consumption, covering about 90% of typical usage with zero emissions and reducing annual emissions by 20-30%. Guests enjoy silence and reduced vibrations at anchor.
Smart Configuration
The interior design accommodates the fuel cell system without compromising guest spaces. Technical equipment is horizontally distributed on the under lower technical deck, freeing up the lower deck for guest and crew areas.
Sanlorenzo CEO Massimo Perotti states, “Sanlorenzo is a trailblazer on the path to carbon neutrality in the yachting world. Through relentless R&D, we continue to introduce revolutionary systems to reduce the environmental impact of yachts.”
Experience the future of yachting with Almax—the epitome of luxury and sustainability.
