KAHUNA, launched in 2012 by the esteemed King Marine shipyard and completed by M-Boats in Argentina, showcases the design brilliance of Dixon Yacht Design. This meticulously maintained blue-water cruiser offers exceptional comfort and impressive sailing performance. Constructed with composite E-glass/foam core and reinforced with carbon in critical areas, KAHUNA ensures safety and reliability through well-sized equipment, including a Southern Spars carbon rig, Lewmar deck hardware, North Sails, and twin generators. A complete refit in 2020/2021, followed by service work in winter 2022/2023, included a full rig check and new rod rigging.
Accommodating up to eight guests and two crew members, KAHUNA features five elegantly appointed cabins. The layout includes an owner’s stateroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, a portside guest cabin with two single berths and en-suite, a starboard guest cabin with a double bed, and two aft cabins with upper/lower beds sharing a spacious bathroom that includes a separate wet cloth area. The interior boasts rich Mahogany finishes and comfortable furnishings, with a raised deck salon midships offering a large seating area and abundant natural light from surrounding windows. A navigation station and a generous U-shaped galley complete the interior space.
KAHUNA’s exterior teak-covered decks are clean and inviting. The cockpit features twin steering positions, seating, and two tables, making it a perfect spot for alfresco gatherings. A secondary entrance on the aft deck leads to the cabins and navigation station, while a large lazarette provides ample storage and a hydraulically opening stern bathing platform enhances convenience.
