RAMAGE AND FERGUSON
KALIZMA is ready to start her Med Charters
HOLLYWOOD ROYALTY
In 1967, two of Hollywood’s’ most famous actors chartered her for a cruise in the western Mediterranean. By the end of the cruise the two had developed a love for the yacht, which like their love for one another was an endless romance. They were none other than Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, who were and continue to be legends to this day.
On purchase they named the yacht Kalizma after their three daughters Kate, Liza and Maria.
Kalizma was one of the renowned priceless gifts that Burton gave to Taylor, however this was a gift that kept giving. She was a haven away from the prying eyes of the media and the world. It was onboard the Kalizma that the 69 carat diamond, that Burton bought from Cartier, was delivered to Tayler for her to wear in Monaco at Princess Grace’s Scorpio Ball.
COMPLETELY RESTORED
In 2020, the Kalizma was taken back to the bare hull and underwent a comprehensive refit. The interiors were completely redone, the exterior woodwork and everything right down to the paint was replaced. Extensive engineering work was undertaken, with new internal systems installed.
Once more, the magnificent Kalizma sails on creating history in all her grandeur.
