Introducing Poseidon: ISA Yachts’ 86-metre vision of bespoke luxury

Italian shipyard and Palumbo Superyachts brand ISA Yachts introduces Poseidon, an 86-metre superyacht design combining distinctive styling, generous living spaces and an owner-focused layout. The latest addition to the newly launched ISA Large Yacht Collection, Poseidon presents a compelling proposition for clients seeking a large custom yacht.

Unveiled to the industry in July, the Collection brings together large custom yacht designs developed on a shared engineering platform. Alongside Poseidon, the range comprises the 82-metre Amarcord 82 and 86-metre Amarcord 86, both by Nuvolari Lenard, and the 82-metre Essence by Lobanov Studio.

As the Collection’s fourth design, Poseidon brings together exterior and interior styling by Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design, complemented by naval architecture from ISA Yachts’ technical department.

Measuring 86 metres with a beam of 12.8 metres, Poseidon is among the Collection’s larger designs. The shipyard describes a balance of elegance, dynamism and generous interior volumes, expressed through a high, gently curved bow and an extended forward section. An aft-positioned superstructure gives way to cascading terraces overlooking the water, pairing a classic profile with contemporary outdoor living.

Clean, taut surfaces are balanced by softer curves to create a distinctive, sculpted profile. According to the shipyard, this interplay of form and volume draws inspiration from the dynamism of sports cars.

A key attraction is the expansive lower-deck beach club, conceived around wellness and life at the water’s edge. Fold-down side platforms extend the space over the sea, complementing a sea-facing lounge, bar and glass-sided whirlpool tub. A nearby passageway leads amidships to a gym, sauna, steam room, treatment facilities and massage spaces, with two further opening balconies enhancing the connection to the outdoors.

The main deck’s signature feature is a substantial T-shaped swimming pool with an integrated whirlpool, spanning the outdoor area. Incorporated into the stern’s architecture, its glazed structure is framed by a sports-car-inspired spoiler detail. Integrated lighting is designed to give the pool a distinctive presence after dark.

Inside, the main deck offers a spacious saloon with a dedicated conversation area, cinema and dining space. Clearly separated guest and crew circulation supports privacy and discreet service. The upper deck is dedicated entirely to the owner, with 360-degree glazing, a private study, dressing room and a bathroom featuring a double shower and bathtub.

The owner’s accommodation opens directly onto a private forward terrace with a second T-shaped pool and adjoining sunbathing areas. This space can alternatively serve as a touch-and-go helipad if required. Aft, an indoor lounge connects directly to an al fresco dining area seating up to 14, providing a generous setting for private entertaining.

On the bridge deck, a further panoramic sky lounge adds another setting for relaxation and entertaining. Highlighted by the shipyard as a defining design feature, this third panoramic lounge is complemented by a Jacuzzi and a roofline inspired by a sports car cockpit.

Flexible accommodation options comprise six cabins for up to 12 guests or seven cabins for up to 14, supported by 10 crew cabins accommodating 18. Two garages provide dedicated storage: a forward garage for a rescue tender and water toys, and an amidships garage for a tender of up to 9.5 metres.

Twin 2,240 kW MTU engines are expected to deliver a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots, with an estimated range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Specified construction in high-strength steel and aluminium, together with an anticipated draught of 3.6 metres, completes a design that combines extensive leisure facilities with long-range cruising potential.
