Reliance represents the pinnacle of Heesen’s 55 Steel Series, marking the sixth hull crafted by the prestigious shipyard. With Van Oossanen’s fast-displacement steel hull, Reliance offers unmatched performance and range, wrapped in a sleek shark-grey profile by Omega Architects. Its interior, a masterpiece by Luca Dini, blends Italian flair with Dutch precision, delivering the space of a 60-metre yacht within a 55-metre design, honed through successive builds and owner insights.
Designed by Frank Laupman, Reliance flaunts a striking shark-grey hull and vertical windows, embodying the bold essence of the 55 Steel line. A unique “shark tooth” in the superstructure adds a subtle yet distinct Heesen touch. Across four decks, outdoor spaces have been enhanced by owner input. The 110m² sundeck, among the largest in its class, features a jacuzzi, teppanyaki bar, and ample sunpads. The upper deck is ideal for dining and cocktails, while the main deck offers a relaxed al fresco lounge. The beach club, focused on wellness, includes Technogym equipment, a sauna, and hammam, illuminated by glass panels in the transom door.
Reliance marks Heesen’s debut collaboration with Luca Dini, bringing serene elegance to the 55m Steel platform, earning a nomination at the 2024 World Superyacht Awards. The interior showcases light tones with Tay wood, marine leather, and stone, contrasted by smoky mirrors, dark oak, and bronze details. The main salon centers around a formal dining area for twelve, with bronze-mirrored ceilings enhancing light and space. The sky lounge offers a cozy retreat with a bar and sofas, opening onto the aft terrace.
Accommodating 12 guests in six cabins, Reliance boasts an 82-square-metre owner’s apartment that sets the standard for the series. Located forward on the main deck, it features large windows, a private study, and an en suite with hand-selected marble, freestanding bathtub, twin showers, and his-and-hers sinks. Four guest cabins on the lower deck include two doubles and two twins, while a VIP cabin sits on the upper deck.
Reliance is constructed with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, utilizing Heesen’s Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Van Oossanen for efficiency and range across diverse cruising conditions. Powered by IMO Tier III-compliant engines, it offers a 4,500-nautical-mile range at cruising speed, with a 3.17-metre draft. A crew of 13 ensures seamless operation for extended cruising and charter efficiency.
