With a top speed of 13.5 knots, this innovative vessel features a hybrid powerplant utilizing Volvo Tier-3 generator sets, a Lithium-Ion battery pack, and a Marelli variable frequency electromotor. This advanced propulsion system not only ensures a minimal carbon footprint but also provides a remarkably quiet and smooth ride. This beautifully converted ocean-going trawler features a RINA-classed thickened steel hull, ensuring outstanding seakeeping and an impressive 9,000 nautical mile range thanks to its IMO Tier III-compliant hybrid propulsion. With an original keel from 1988, SCINTILLA MARIS underwent a complete rebuild by Damen Maaskant in 2023, showcasing contemporary Vripack interiors illuminated by 30 decklights.
After a comprehensive four-year rebuild, SCINTILLA MARIS was revamped from the ground up, aligning perfectly with the owner’s vision. While her exterior retains the classic lines that reflect her heritage, stepping inside reveals a fully modernized expedition yacht, ready for extensive autonomous cruising.
